Samsung Poking Fun at Apple iPhone People Standing in Line

Samsung has a history of poking fun at Apple iPhone users, particularly those who stand in long lines to buy the latest iPhone models.

One notable commercial campaign targeted iPhone 5 buyers waiting in line. It humorously highlighted the Samsung Galaxy S III’s advanced features, like 4G connectivity, a larger screen, and Near-Field Communication technology, while portraying the Galaxy phone as the “next big thing” already available.

The ad even showed a Samsung user holding a spot in the iPhone line for his parents, emphasizing the contrast between the two brands’ user behaviors.

More recently, Samsung released ads that mock iPhone users for “sitting on the fence” about switching to Samsung phones. These ads highlight Samsung’s innovations, such as foldable phones and high-resolution cameras, suggesting Apple is slow to adopt new technologies.

In one such ad, an iPhone user is literally shown standing on a fence, about to switch to Samsung, but is stopped by other iPhone users. The commercial points out that Samsung’s foldable phones and advanced camera features have been available for years. Apple is only now expected to release a foldable device (a foldable iPad, not a phone) at a much higher price.

Samsung’s ads often blend humor with pointed critiques of Apple’s slower adoption of new features, appealing to consumers who might be frustrated by waiting for Apple to catch up technologically. These commercials are designed to be fun and clever, sometimes provoking strong reactions from Apple fans, but also making a case for Samsung’s innovation leadership.
