Why Use Timekapsule?

Why Use Timekapsule?

Why Use Timekapsule?

The idea for Timekapsule came to me one evening as I was watching the closing scene from Gangs of New York. It showed a time-lapse scene of 18th-century gravestones being overtaken by weeds and worn away as the NY skyline rose in the background to the present day.

Years after you pass, it would be nice for relatives and friends to know something more personal about you.

What music did I like?
What were my hobbies?
My favorite food, books, and movies?
Did I own any pets, or did I even like animals?

Not many of us are going to get around to writing an autobiography.

It’s these little things that make us truly unique. It’s not our jobs, or accomplishments, or the money we make that defines us.

Maybe my grandkids will be able to find my Timekapsule and finally figure out why they possess an exceptional talent for music or art.. (Hopefully, after reading my Timekapsule , they will figure out that the talent might have come from me!)

Timekapsule is your final shout-out. It’s ok for the dead.

Here’s how it works.
You sign up and create a Timekapsule Profile, which is entirely secure.

Once you sign up, you can create as many Timekapsules as you want.

You can create a locked Timekapsule and email anyone you want to let them know you have made one, but it’s not mandatory.

If you create an alert, a notification will be sent to these people (and only these people) letting them know your Timekapsule has opened.

You can also create a FREE open Timekapsule that anyone who is also a Timekapsule member can see.

So there you have. With Timekapsule, you create it, lock it, and leave it. It’s like Facebook for the dead.

Love to see this discussion! It’s great to see you all working through the issues and also, it’s great to see recommendations for testing. In the end, it’s what your actual users do and prefer that should be your biggest driver in making these decisions.
    Great article and discussion!

    Thanks Jacob,
Too bad I couldn't get Michael Jackson or Keith Ledger to find us earlier and create a Kapsule. Would be interesting to see what his closing thoughts were. ( at least I have created mine!)
